Welcome

The Carolyn Ball Blair Wilderness Science Center (WSC) is an educational facility created with the primary goal of providing authentic learning opportunities for students in the Blue Valley School District (external link).

The trails and study areas on the 30-acre site have been under development since 1999. It took a long time - and a lot of dreaming - to bring the center to fruition, but now it's a reality.

Located behind Blue River Elementary and Blue Valley Middle schools, the WSC has trails, study stations and the Helen and Victor Reginer Learning Center Building to support the learning experiences of all students, who attend classes at the site.

"I think what I can do as an individual to make the environment better and take care of it would be to not pollute... I think everyone needs to do their part for the earth so it can be the best it can be."
- Sarah, eighth-grade
